It's watchable but there are better murderous rats movies out there. Some nice support roles from horror royalty that is Brad Douriff and the Wishmaster. This is a typical 90s Stephen King adaptation which feels like it was only adapted because of the name attached to it but if someone else had written it then it wouldn't have been adapted. The super rat monster is pretty good but we don't see much of it, just certain angles here and there…

Really poor. I thought the idea of taking the franchise out of reality and into the supernatural could have been a good idea in the right hands, but what we have here is a bland and repetitive ghost story with no identity and essentially feeds off of the name it's attached to. It's pretty pointless.

Another perfectly imperfect, guilty pleasure, 90s teen slasher movie that just makes me go fuzzy. I love the intro with Type O Negative, that was enough to hook me way back when and looks like it still is - the rest of the movie sounds like something from the Buffy soundtrack but that's okay with me. There are a couple of good kills but nothing really eye-catching, but the Helen chase sequence is still an absolute nightmare to watch -…

Just a perfect movie. The direction is super sharp, the soundtrack is brilliant, the actors and characters are very real feel and a pleasure to watch, and the transition from comedy to serious is stunning. It's very easy for tone shifts to throw you out of the mood, but through all the comedy, there's always an undertone of sadness so the shifts feel natural and honest. I absolutely adore the references throughout, it feels like every time I'm discovering something new. This movie just makes me feel all kinds of fuzzy and completely supports my theory that only horror lovers should make horror movies.
