This is so specifically my shit on every level, I‘M WALKING ON AIIIIR!!!
The entire cast is incredible, Daniel Day-Lewis obviously, but especially Vicky Krieps gives a creeping, subtle and deeply resonant performance for the history books. I really love films about power dynamics in relationships and this gave me more than I would have ever dared to dream of. Paul Thomas Anderson creates such an effective, funny, kinky, gorgeously looking and sounding (Johnny Greenwood should bathe in awards for this) slowburn, that the banger of an ending will elevate your wig into space and hopefully make you as ecstatic as me (I almost died because I forgot to look for cars on the street).
