Route 181: Fragments of a Journey in Palestine-Israel 2003
A jaunt through Israel, a racist apartheid state built upon ethnic cleansing and military occupation. The staggering injustice documented in this movie should make any decent person's blood boil.
Most of the Israelis interviewed in the movie have execrable views. I'm not sure who makes me more angry: The "Arabs are dogs" openly racist types, or the "educated", refined crowd, the kind of person who name-drops Kafka and Buber and then regals you with a statement along the lines of "I acknowledge that Arabs of course have rights, but unfortunately sometimes rights cannot be granted", probably while sipping a glass of fine red wine.
