yes, no time to die is longer than i would’ve liked, but by the time i got about an hour into it i was completely okay with that. this is my favorite of the craig bond films, right next to casino royale.
the bon iver music at the end is the best part of the whole movie. this was some of the worst directing and editing i’ve ever seen. i predicted every plot point and this was also just waaaaay too long. there were some funny parts that made me laugh. i think in someone else’s hands this could’ve been good—great, even

while babylon focuses on a very niche and specific time and place, it also just generally reflects life, both in the stories that it is telling and the format of the film. it’s messy and random, with bits and pieces that seem unnecessary or out of place. it’s a barrage of images and sound and glimpses of a larger story—then suddenly we’re whisked away to the next part. and that’s how life goes!!
