Kayla Myers’s review published on Letterboxd :
probably the worst pre-production planning I’ve ever seen!
I first watched this when it was on Netflix when I was in high school. It’s still chilling to me today, particularly the way it drops nuggets that let you know they won’t make it out of this. Heather insisting they’re not lost, Mike throwing the map in the creek, and the group realizing they’ve been walking South for nothing.
It’s formal elements are so good and so smart that I don’t wonder as much “Why are they still filming?” as I do in the films that followed it.
