Your complexion is remarkable today.
I’m not sure I have the capacity to write about Portrait of a Lady on Fire at length and not burst into tears. It’s a heart-stoppingly gorgeous vision of love in its most transportive, most rapturously, devastatingly pure form. It’s an altogether exquisite cinematic masterclass from writer/director Céline Sciamma, whose patience, restraint, and care for detail is...otherworldly. It’s so painfully good, it makes me want to hurl myself off a cliff without screaming.
