Spider-Man: Far from Home

Spider-Man: Far from Home ★★★★

Not my favorite Spider-Man film but it’s still a great time. I love Jake Gyllenhaal as mysterio, the twist is pretty good, the movies got great visuals especially when mysterio is doing the illusion stuff. The romance stuff between Peter and Michelle is kinda cute. There’s plenty of laughs to be had throughout the movie, I couldn’t contain my laughter when Peter slapped Flash unconscious. It’s nice to see Tom’s Peter kinda sorta start to be a little more independent although the Iron Man Jr title is very prevalent in this one you get glimpses of Peter having to deal with responsibility. The concept of Spider-Man in Europe is cool but I would have taken a New York setting any day over a Europe vacation. The end credit scene is absolutely crazy and I love it especially knowing a bit of what will happen next from the no way home teaser. Although there’s lots to praise this movie for, Homecoming felt like a better structured movie where as this one felt like the epilogue to endgame with Spider-Man in the middle of it all and that’s cool I appreciate that but I would’ve preferred a more traditional Spider-Man story and setting. I cannot wait for No Way Home though, ugh watching this and homecoming just get me so pumped.
