and you may find yourself in an Alamo Drafthouse
and you may find yourself among a theater of people dancing
and you may ask yourself, “How is this my fist time seeing this?”
and you may ask yourself, “Is this my new favorite band?”
And I may have found myself unable to stop noticing how many different types of popular bands owe so much of their sound and/or show and/or energy to the influence of how huge Talking Heads used to be. Nine Inch Nails, Beck, LCD Soundsystem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Radiohead, Phish, Marilyn Manson... the list could go on and on. I’ve always loved their music but seeing it built and captured with that vibrance was electrifying. Is David Byrne the Actual Greatest Frontman Of All Time? This truly lived up to all the hype and I am in.
