Pretty much the same movie as the first. That's both a positive and a negative. It's a solid piece of entertainment that's features great acting and some very tense scenes, but doesn't fully deliver on the themes it presents. Granted, the politics are more effective here than in the first Hunger Games, but neither films were interested in exploring them further. And the romance still needs a lot of work. After seeing both installments of this planned trilogy/quadrilogy, I must admit that I'm not particularly interested in seeing Mockingjay even though it's my favorite book in the series. And the fact that it's split up into two parts doesn't help much either. Overall, while this is one of the better blockbusters of 2013, it's not one that I want to watch again.
