I could never describe why Woodstock 99 stuck with me so much for over twenty years. I’m glad there’s finally a documentary that made me sick to my stomach over everything. I really can’t stand Alex Garland’s writing or direction.

He writes characters that have intelligent backgrounds but writes them so incredibly idiotically that they come across as stupid and insipid.

This felt like if Nicolas Winding Refn rewatched Stalker and Arrival on loop and thought his inability to write intelligent women characters would be benefitional for a Paramount block buster.

Don’t get me started on the laughable line delivery throughout.
