    It's hard to give films of this age a star rating, but I'll say that it looks amazing and is an incredible technical achievement for its time. I believe it's the first entry in the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die list, which I'm working through as best I can.

    Was full sure I'd seen this, but I think I'd remember Paxton, Davi, and Busey. I've certainly seen the ending alright. The restraint that was used in the original is nowhere to be found, and it's even less subtle (if such a thing is possible). Glover is good though, and the action is well shot, so it's not a total loss.

    Pick a style. Action thriller, or family drama. The script for this just wasn't strong enough to carry both. Chastain is good, and the fight scenes are decent but the rest of just plain boring.

    I'm a sucker for this kind of film. The one where the lead finds themselves isolated and has to use their wits to solve the problem they find themselves in. Oxygen joins the ranks of Cast Away and Buried in that respect. It's a tense, claustrophobic thriller that kept me guessing until the very end.
