If you think too hard about the writing and the characters, you'll get a headache. Things just happen with no rhyme or reason, all driven by plot convenience more than anything else, and none of the attempts to shoehorn in character development really work all that well. But that's not what you're watching this for. You're watching it for the delightful, legendary cast and their infectious chemistry. You're watching it for these characters' undying obsession with Tom Brady...including the brilliant, ludicrous idea that these four women somehow engineered the 28-3 Patriots comeback in the Super Bowl. So as long as you understand that, you'll have a good time.
