    FREDDY LOVES JASON #2

    Well, it does exactly what the title card says - take Friday the 13th and blow it to smithereens. I had fun. Better ensemble overall, and I love how Jason's kind of this big clumsy goof. It's nice to see him, although the first-person camera always works better for me. Begging for that mask.
    The final battle ended up being just as crazy-funny as the original. Absolutely mind-blowing door-opening reveal late in the film.

    I loved Walt Gomey returning as Crazy Ralph. Is there anything better in horror than the old guy who knows the true evil but nobody believes him?

    What a difference the Ulysses cut makes. So much more life, character, texture in the extra 40 minutes added to this picture. And that's me, Mr. 90 Minutes, saying this. Can't believe this movie is designed for Costner to be a giant asshole for almost the entire three-hour runtime and it still works.
