WandaVision

WandaVision ★★★★

Next installment in my Marvel movie watch in the lead up to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes the very first Marvel Disney+ series, WandaVision. Here we find Wanda Maximoff in this 9 episode series living in a ideally suburban tv life with Vision after the events of Avengers: Endgame. I remember when this show came out was very intrigued with how Marvel was going to do their very first television show. Needless to say to no surprise, they knocked it out of the park!

The very first week, us fans were given the first 3 episodes and it was interesting, but also somewhat slow. Then once we got to episode 4 things took off for the better! Finally, we were given a solo outing with Wanda Maximoff herself and was able to dig even deeper with the character. The chemistry between both Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany is just beautiful to watch. You buy into the relationship and love that both Wanda and Vision have for one another, and it's because of their strong performances.

The script writing is some of Marvel's best work. Episode 8 truly showed that when Wanda and Vision are having a conversation. I think everyone knows what line I'm talking about. "What is grief if not love persevering." That is incredible dialogue right there! Finally, the story is very emotional and heartfelt. You feel for these characters and understand the pain they are carrying with them. Overall, this was a tremendous series and I had a ball rewatching every episode! Can't wait to see where Wanda goes from here in the sequel to Doctor Strange! Up next, Spider-Man: No Way Home!
