on a more serious note, bones and all somehow manages to be the most romantic and most tender film (yet somehow absolutely disgusting and terrifying at parts) of 2022. Luca Guadagnino proves once again he’s a master of mood and ambience as he transports the audience to the vastness and isolation of the Midwest through gorgeous cinematography. Taylor Russell shines as the lead and Luca scores a home run once again in the coming of age department.
