This isn't exactly what I expected, but I really liked what I got.
I don't really have much to say about this, but I really like how the film portrays that unconditional love and understanding that we all want. This works especially so for this character, Barry, who seems to have gone misunderstood his entire life. It's just so comforting to see all of his problems silenced by something as simple as a hug.
Maybe it wasn't such a great idea for this single boy to watch this and Mood Indigo so close together. Glad I did though.

This is a really great movie that I feel is unfortunately held back by its ending and a poorly resolved personal conflict.
I really enjoyed Wright's style and humor. His and Simon Pegg's writing really made the group dynamic work. However, I wish we got to see more of it before the alien aspect took full reign.
