Kii Belling’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s Nolan’s Twin Peaks: The Return, his Sucker Punch, his Attack of the Clones. Basically he’s stopped caring what you think.
This is what I’m here for. Filmmakers leaving audiences in the dust and just expressing themselves. Making monuments to their aesthetic, cashing in their hard earned goodwill and just making movies for themselves. He still wants to entertain but he’s doing it entirely on his terms, no wonder this pissed so many people off.
A masterful and completely impenetrable achievement. I loved it.
