god DAMN this was so fucking good! I feel like it struck the perfect balance between laugh-out-loud, genuinely hilarious jokes, and really touching, meaningful...heart, I guess? like a film can be funny, but if the plot is also FANTASTIC...you’ve got a winner, babey! OH MY GOD AND THE FUCKIGN WAY THE ESTABLISHING SHOTS WERE MADE TO LOOK LIKE ACTUAL FUCKING BOARD GAMES.....I WAS SO BLOWN AWAY BY THAT!!!!!!!
I’m obsessed with rachel mcadams’ performance here, too! her comedic timing and delivery is PERFECT!!! also GOD I love lamorne morris! I’ve loved him since new girl and I’m so glad he’s been getting roles like this one because he was one of my favorite parts of this movie!! also, kylie bunbury? wife me please!
probably my #1 favorite thing about this was the script, because that dialogue was INCREDIBLE, so! here’s a list of my favorite lines :~)
—“how can that be profitable for frito lay?”
—OKAY NOT ACTUALLY A LINE BUT THE SCENE WITH SEMI-CHARMED LIFE AND THE GUN???? BSBDJDJDNDHFJSKDKF????
—“what about a veterinarian that works for the mob?” “you know one of those?” “.....no”
—EYES WIDE FIGHT CLUB
—“.....yeah baby that’s not denzel”
—“maybe just that sticker was made in china”
—“you’re not liam neeson!” “that hurts my feelings!” “I’m sorry!”
—“I have kids at home!” “not with that ass you don’t” “oh! well, thank you!”
