GOD I just....I really loved the way the story was told—the interviews (and how they showed the varying of everyone’s accounts) and the breaking of the fourth wall in subsequent retellings and the song choices (that really helped heighten my emotional responses—THE FUCKING MONTAGE SET TO THE CHAIN!!!!)...that coupled with margot robbie’s phenomenal performance (the accent!!) as well as the painfully realistic depictions of domestic and parental abuse sold me on this film. personally, above all else, I’m just really pleased that the central focus was not on The Incident, but rather tonya herself. which.....makes complete sense given the title, wow! love being an idiot
