It’s the rom com version of Michael Franco’s New Order.
Listen, it’s a Jennifer Lopez action rom com called ‘Shotgun Wedding.’ We’re not re inventing the wheel here, but it doesn’t matter. This is enjoyably silly and competently made which is all it needs to be. Surprisingly, the action beats are the most entertaining, with comical slapstick gags breaking the tension of what could be a really intense hostage situation.
The cast is game even if its’ a little too…
