Daisy....
A mammoth. THE film. 2001: A Space Odyssey changed everything. Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece is unlike anything in existence - 2001 is the story of the human race: birth, death, resurrection - evolution. Equal parts science fiction, horror, and philosophy, this film is definitive of Kubrick’s aesthetic and go-to themes as well as being an absolutely encapsulating experience. I was on cloud nine watching this film. It’s exhilarating and exuberant, a film of atmosphere and mood. Kubrick’s film relies on music so much, and it thrives on the elegance of it. A docking sequence becomes a stellar waltz - a walk down a ramp becomes a descent into hell.
2001: A Space Odyssey is probably the greatest film of all time.
