Waqar’s review published on Letterboxd:
I haven't been this mesmerised by a film in such a long time. In what feels like a blur between a dream and being awake this film encapsulates the sort of melancholy I simply adore in a film.
Like I was floating in a bubble through spring and through autumn, with the reds and the greens painting a story which examines more than just the narrative woes of our protagonist.
Not just who are we? But why are we?
The titular performance(s) by Irène Jacob was fantastic. She portrays both of the characters with a similar sort of elegance but with enough nuance to differentiate them both in the way they behave and in the way they percieve.
Sublime filmmaking and I can't stress enough how excited I am to watch more of Kieślowski.
