As if I couldn’t be more excited for The Batman comes Zoé Kravitz in a film I didn’t expect to like so much. I figured she’d be good as Catwoman but her slinky resourceful performance in this Soderbergh pandemic made film, gives me confidence that’s she’ll absolutely kill it.
One of my favorite film composers, Cliff Martinez is also on hand. I especially dug him echoing Bernard Herrmann. Which makes sense as Soderbergh tries to do the same with Hitchcock albeit not as successfully.
I also appreciated the brisk running time. This is a very of the moment film with a dynamic leading lady and well worth the watch. Though I’m not sure if it’ll stay with me.
