Every so often the stars align and there's a new movie in theaters that I see as something my dad might enjoy. So we met up with another friend and saw the 11:30 AM showing of this.

First movie I've seen in theaters this year and I absolutely loved it. Statham is making an honest living as a beekeeper who, amazingly, used to work for an assassination squad known as The Beekeepers. Brilliant.

After someone he cares for is targeted…

First new release for me in 2024 and it's a Scott Adkins movie. Gonna be a good year.

Adkins is back as Jake Harris, the Navy SEAL who could really use a break! Picking up right where we left off in One Shot, Harris has a terrorist in custody and they've just landed in D.C. for debriefing. Hopefully he got a nap in on the plane because once he lands at the airport he finds it's crawling with armed combatants…

Hoopla has quite the sizeable Scott Adkins selection. If you have a library card, sign up and watch lots of Scott Adkins movies. After watching Lights Out, which had minimal Adkins fight scenes, I felt like watching something that had many Adkins fight scenes and this one did! Pretty good ones too. The first of 4 James Nunn/Adkins collabs is a solid first outing and things have only gotten better and better for the duo.

A soldier arrives in L.A. and immediately gets involved with underground street fights. This leads to a showdown between the corrupt cops who oversee and make money from the fights.

It's been a bit since I've seen anything starring Frank Grillo. He's in plenty of stuff and the credits usually read 'And Frank Grillo' which gives the audience the foreknowledge that he's not going to be spending a lot of time on screen. Here he's the lead and spends plenty…

The coolest thing a movie can do is open with the title card 'Another time, another place.'

Today's my birthday and I treated myself to a Shout Factory Steelbook Blu-Ray of this classic.

My mom raised me on this, Buckaroo Banzai and The Muppet Movie so why did it take me so long to realize I loved musicals? I have no idea.

Michael Paré stoic and armed. Diane Lane killing on the mic. Rick Moranis is a jerk in a…

A fantastic, original yet uncomplicated sequel that brings the series back to hunter v hunter. Aside from the alternate opening to AvP we've never seen a Predator hunting in the past, until now. It's been teased, specifically in the finale of Predator 2, but it's finally here and it's awesome.

Amber Midthunder stole the show as the ass kicking Kerry in Legion and is great as the lead here. A Comanche who wants to hunt and gets the opportunity to…
