WHO GAVE THIS MAN A FORK FOR SOUP?!

I technically read this book in 10th grade but I remember virtually nothing because it bored me to death. This, however brought a vibrancy to the story that truly enthralled me. I appreciate the angle which this adaptation takes highlighting the gratuitous violence of war and straying away from heroism of the military. The action scenes were brutal and devastating and really hammered home the meaningless cycle of violence for power that exists even today.
