KnuckleScraper’s review published on Letterboxd:
Jean-Pierre Melville once described his characters' black suits as their armor and half a century later we have a fully literalized display of that concept with bullets functioning less as projectiles and more as extensions of the human body turning firefights into a borderline transcendent display of martial arts. There’s a Hotline Miami-style sequence in this that had me levitating in the theater experiencing full-on sensory overload and this may be the single best piece of pure action filmmaking since Hard Boiled. High caliber Greek tragedy.
