Blockers ★★★★

Consistently funny and surprisingly grown-up for a studio comedy which could easily have ended up as a far more puerile affair. It's forays into gross-out comedy are limited but relatively well-delivered, while it's Apatow-esque ad-libbed style of dialogue maintains enough structure and, you know, actual jokes to remain engaging and genuinely hilarious throughout. Blockers even dips into some sentimentality at times without ever becoming schmalzy.

This is a genuinely very funny comedy full of strong characters and believable relationships.
