Nicolò Grasso’s review published on Letterboxd:
- Sailor... Sailor?
- The Good Witch...
- Sailor Ripley, Lula loves you.
- But I'm a robber, I'm a manslaughterer, and I haven't had any parental guidance.
- She's forgiven you all these things. You love her! Don't be afraid Sailor!
- But I'm wild at heart!
- If you're truly wild at heart, you'll fight for your dreams. Don't turn away from love, Sailor. Don't turn away from love...
This scene right here never fails to warm my heart. Third time watching it, and I was weeping all over again. The earnestness in the emotions felt in the narrative are truly touching to me, and I know that is not a common response to this film. For me, it is really special, and Lynch's most heartwarming work. You've taught me a valuable lesson: fight for your dreams, and don't turn away from love.
