disconnection through connection. iwai manages to make you feel lost, even among beauty - the inversion of his usual mastery of displaying love & sentiment allowing him to channel his usually free flowing camera work into a film of a rather paradoxical nature. everything is bright, and the world is still there - but its sometimes hard to see it when you see only grey and nothing else
