One of the most idiosyncratic films ever made. Absolutely singular in vision. Jodorowsky is able to appreciate every frame with a level of care rarely seen in cinema. There’s a ridiculous amount of violence and nudity. However this is not the violence and nudity you’ve come to know. It’s treated in a way where the sex isn’t so sexualized, and the violence isn’t so glorified. I love a Tarantino film, but to me, this is not that. Simply some of the most unique shots and cinematography you will ever find.
