  - The first half of the movie is utterly fascinating (1st person POV and then Bogart acting silently with a completely bandaged face??!?!?)
  - The rest is okay I guess, not enough Lauren Bacall!
  - This movie is also elite because it's set in San Francisco <3

  The Little Mermaid 2023

  Really enjoyable. Halle Bailey gives a gorgeous earnest performance. She and Jonah Hauer-King have good chemistry (I maybe cried at the end).

  Melissa McCarthy is a fierce-ish but still-fun Ursula. Daveed Diggs as Sebastian and, yes, Awkwafina as Scuttle, got a lot of laughs from the opening night crowd. Javier Bardem is, like, okay as King Triton.

  And finally: I'm obsessed with the addition of a second "Part of Your World" reprise.
