Abdulla Alsaleh’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Lighthouse is the movie of the year.
Sorry, Uncut Gems, but The Lighthouse is the movie of the year.
Everything here is perfect. Dafoe and Pattinson give the best performances that they have and probably ever will give, the camerawork and presentation is genius, the writing is ambiguous and keeps you on edge, the dialogue is like music, and the movie is just generally a joy to watch.
Easily the best of 2019, and easily one of the best of the 2010s.
