Green Book ★★

A big fat “I pat myself on the back” food of comfort. If I were the four year old kid who thought Batman & Robin was a masterpiece, I would have cried my eyes out over this. Still, I felt lukewarm toward Green Book for its short-lived embrace, overly-glib and sanitized nature even with most of the warmth radiated from Mahershala Ali’s unwavering stoicism while I rolled my eyeballs so hard, in awe, at the sight of Viggo Mortensen acting like a complete buffoon, effortlessly turning Pizza into Sandwich in just a second.
