Kurosawa’s review published on Letterboxd:
Suspension of disbelief.
It's like pulling taffy.
You pull and it stretches.
Sometimes you can pull the taffy a good long ways, though it gets mighty thin as it stretches.
But if it's pulled too far and it breaks, well then you're left with two long ribbons of limp, sticky taffy dangling down touching the dirty floor.
The first 3/4 of "Us" is a lot of fun. Creepy, suspenseful, wickedly funny.
Lupita Nyong'o is excellent. Easily four stars.
And then round about the last 20 minutes the taffy finally broke.
Now, your taffy might be different than mine.
Maybe it stretches further.
Or maybe you don't mind if it's been on the floor.
But I had to throw mine out, coz it got crud all over it.
