HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT AN EXPERIENCE
Edit: it’s the day after and have a few thoughts. This was amazing omg it felt like an out of body experience! It feels more like a theater play than movie in its production design and many of the choices and also felt like a dream/nightmare in its editing, framing and singing. Adam Driver once again delivers an outstanding performance for the ages. What a specimen that man is AND WHAT AN AMAZING CHARACTER. He feels totally in control of everything that happens to him even when he isn’t.
It’s uncomfortably funny too, very much like Henry’s comedy shows. This Bo Burnham-esque thing he does but somehow even darker and depressing. You laugh cause you’re uncomfortable. The amount of times I saw myself genuinely laughing because I was or uncomfortable or because of the ridiculous things that happen.
It’s amazing guys please watch this!
