I would say “they don’t make them like this anymore” but I don’t know if they’ve ever made them like this.

  • Daredevil

I say this without any sense of irony whatsoever… this was so fire.

Sam Raimi. The greatest to ever do it.

  • Wild Things

    Wild Things

Possibly the most unpredictable film I’ve ever seen. 7 twists too many but still a wild time.

  • Fresh

The script actually felt rather… undercooked.

    “You’re not doing anything wrong”

Some people might pass this off as a dumb fun sci-fi film but it’s got more heart than 90% of films released these days. That bar scene with Reynolds & Garner had me weeping like a baby.

    “I am the shadows”

Exceptional. A bit too broody/emo for it’s own good as I think it’ll alienate parts of the mainstream audience, even leaving me pretty cold towards the start but the films tone is something else. Despite it’s Last Jedi references, this is structured almost exactly like The Force Awakens. Which means Dewey is Han Solo and to be honest, Dewey’s death hit 10 times harder.

    “It’s what we do”

I was always going to be biased. My sister was born on the 14th June 2002 and as my Nan was looking after me at the time she decided to take me to the cinema. Thankfully that day a little film called Spider-Man was being released and after my 3 year old self witnessed Sam Raimi’s masterpiece, my life was changed forever.

I’ve always loved Spider-Man. From the 90’s animated show on Jetix, to the games…
