Opening Night of Queer Screen Film Fest was like a lucid dream. PORTAIT WITH A LADY ON FIRE is an ASMR dream which made me feel rested as all hell!

Well what a stupid film this is. Based on the 2000's fantastic Spanish horror flick REC. this English adaption really should of just stayed Quarantined. While the Spanish REC was engaging, scary and extremely interesting. Quarantine is boring, not scary and a film that the trailer really ruins. Im not even kidding the final moments of the film is legit the trailer.
Incredibly Powerful Yet Simple! That is how I would describe Ian Darling's film The Final Quarter. The film is setup as a montage exposing us to the often racist conversations and commentaries of aboriginal player and one of my favourite AFL player's of the game Adam Goodes.
This is a piece of cinematic masterpiece which challenges us, makes us feel shame of our past. One that only provides us with an education of both where we came from, where we are now and a road map of things to avoid in the future endeavour of trying to eradicate racism.
