Kyle Donovan’s review published on Letterboxd:
The movie equivalent of "only 90s kids will remember". Loved the look but if I wanted to watch a Larry Clark film I'd watch Kids or Wassup Rockers, not this cute imitation with an A24 branded condom on. Mid90s is alright, though it wears its influences so heavily on its sleeve that any original voice gets drowned out. Unless funny names tickle your fancy, none of the characters here (except for maybe Hedges') are more than one note, Stevie in particular is just aggravating and his fall to degeneracy is over dramatic and cloying. Watch Skate Kitchen instead.
