Watched the Extended Version

Wow, I guess it's good to know I am absolutely not on the same wavelength as most are in regards to this movie. There are compelling things here, and its evocation of the feel New York is great, but I just did not jive with any of the main storylines.

A film in which a ship of couples, numerous versions of Adam and Eve, arrive on a world they hope to be a new Eden, only to discover that a Devil of their own creation has both killed their God and made his own nightmare Eden to punish them for their flaws.

I don't know how the fuck Ridley gets his weirdo visions into big sci-fi blockbusters.
