Landon Defever’s review published on Letterboxd:
Irresistible, plain and simple. Stop Making Sense is what happens the planets align juuuuuust right. A jaunty, sensational live performance full of pure kinetic energy. Thoughtful art direction and tremendous staging. Great direction by Jonathan Demme and even better editing from Lisa Day. So much of Stop Making Sense is such a spectacle that I wasn't expecting, even with the metric ton of hype that came attached to it when I hit play. It made me miss live music in a way I haven't felt since pre-pandemic and brought me right back to the reasons that live entertainment and performance art can have a profound effect. The presentation of Stop Making Sense is so electrifying that it's impossible to not be affected by it.
