After seeing this, I realized how lucky Helen Keller actually was. This movie is literally running on the monitors in the waiting room for Hell.

In psychology, there’s this word called sublimation. It’s when sadness and pain gets turned into something beautiful; like art, a poem, a movie.

Sci-fi is a vessel for storytelling. It constructs a stage for romance, sacrifice, heroes, sorrow and love to play out. It’s been years and I still haven’t experienced anything which has moved me or taught me as much as this film has. Cinematography and linguistics are far from being the limitations of that statement.

There are politics and politicians, the news and those who listen, there are celebrities and masses of fans who follow them, but there’s nothing more powerful than Hans Zimmer playing the final part of “Time” on the piano; just him, a few isolated notes, to 7,000 fully captivated, silent people.

I watched this with my best friend last night after making lava cakes & it was probably one of the greatest experiences i’ve ever had. There was so much energy, production…

Attachment does strange things to people. It swings its legs atop a wall that borders love & obsession, blind to the fall. It leads to unrequited emotions, lies, giving too much, realizing too little, overthinking, sappiness as such. It’s complicated.

And to me, that’s exactly what Silver Linings Playbook is: complicated, raw, melancholic and sweet. Never one-sided, never dismissive of the duality & bitterness of things- life, emotions. It’s a story of two people- damaged goods, finding each other & themselves at the…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This movie is about as perfect as a film can get. It’s dark and untamed with the right amount of madness, wallows in gritty disturbance and is absolutely unforgiving with its characters. In its entirety, it’s nothing less than a masterpiece, but only Joaquin Phoenix could’ve portrayed this tangle of thorns in such a bitter, acidic way.

What accompanies Hildur Guðnadóttir’s haunting score and Lawrence Sher’s cinematography is a conflicting approach to reality and trust. What is…

    Vertigo

There isn't much one can add to a mass of reviews about a movie considered to be the greatest ever made. A movie where colors are not just colors and flowers are not just flowers. There is also nothing I can write which will do it any justice apart from this: Vertigo makes you feel. Which is the greatest power any film can have.

When Scottie is dizzy, you are dizzy. When there is love, you feel love. When someone…
