Scavenger Hunt 52 - 3/31 || Task 15
I don’t even know where to begin. This film is just incredible.
I’m not a fan of horror movies normally but this was something else. While it was definitely disturbing it also is truly captivating. Not only is it shot so incredibly well it’s so aesthetically pleasing it makes it even more satisfying to watch. So much so it needs to be seen on the big screen to appreciate it fully.
It’s the slowest of slow burns. It’s two and half hours and it feels it but it’s worth it to watch everthing unfold. I didn’t want it to end. You get just enough info / drama just to keep you going without giving you too much in one go.
Florence Pugh is simply incredible. She gives (in my opinion) on of, if not, the best performances I’ve seen this year. The rest of the cast also give stellar performances.
I feel like there is so much you could unpack from it but right now I’m still reeling from first viewing. There are so many highlights to this film it’s impossible to whittle it down.
Overall this needs to be seen to be believed. I am so shook!! I cannot wait to see it again!!!
