I played several hours of Red Dead 2 the day I went to see this and I kept calling all the bad guys O’Driscolls in my head.

First time back in a theatre in months. (I saw Kajillionaire at some point during the pandemic, but otherwise haven’t been in a theatre.)

As a kid I loved this movie, and as an adult I was struck by its sweetness. It made me want to rediscover my own playfulness.

One of my favorite unofficial subgenres is “work sucks and capitalism is brutal,” and this fits nicely in there.

I’ve seen Fargo like 8 million times & consider it probably a top 5 all-time movie, so I’m kind of surprised I never watched this.

But holy cats! This was amazing! So many little visual Easter eggs that show up in later movies too! And it CLIPS! 90 tight minutes!
