it is an endurance test in that i am not smart enough to grapple with everything it is trying to say — and even with intermissions it asks a lot — but it's also the easiest 7+ hours thanks to Béla Tarr's enormously generous filmmaking. cannot stop thinking about so many shots here. i am going to lie down.
