Louis-Charles’s review published on Letterboxd:
Sorry, but I have to say it: this is one hell of a slow burn. It takes its time developing the characters and slowly presenting us what's happening. I won't lie, I might have expected more from it, but I'm pretty sure I'll think about it for a while. The direction is really terrific, I definitely will check more from Chan-dong. The whole cast is great too. Burning has a really strange and mysterious atmosphere. I really had no clue where it was going and how it would end. Eventually you become like Jong-su and you're obsessed with Ben. If you dig slow film with great characters dynamics and some mystery, check this one out.
