Leey’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was so endearing, so funny and so Waititi. At its heart, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is so much more than a mere kiwi comedy (even though that alone was the initial catch for me, and that was enough); it's a beautiful story of two people bonding who are sort of lost in their own respective ways.
The humor was on point. I'm not even going to ruin any lines by quoting anything. 2016 was in my opinion the strongest year in cinema of the past decade, and another gem just got added to it.
Bring on Jojo's Rabbit! With Taika Waititi himself playing Adolf Hitler, along with my girl Scarlett!
Also, get him for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 if he's available and not set to do a next Thor, though I'd pay good money to see him direct Chris Hemsworth once again...
