Burning ★★★★

despite my distaste for murakami’s works, i enjoyed this a lot. perhaps his style lends well to cinema, where i can roll with ambiguous endings better thru visuals rather than thru text. 

there’s something here about the class divide and the entire movie being a metaphor for the frustrations of systematic poverty. jong-su’s  anger simmers slowly...until it burns bright. 

jeez!!!!! the more i think abt this the more the brilliance shines thru!!!!!!!! 

also, impt to note: steven yeun remains the man of my dreams no matter how creepy he is!!!!
