  • The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

    The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

This film while feeling extremely low-budget and dated, can still have some entertainment value in it. The acting is fairly horror cliche and as my friends and I discussed, it felt like there were two different cinematographers working on it, one doing standard shots and the other working on beautiful or clever camera workings. This is definitely one of those movies where the villain is more iconic than the film itself, but it's still enjoyable to see.

    Is it worth watching?
With friends absolutely, maybe with yourself and with family no not really. For those few seconds of chainsaw flailing at the end? Most definitely.

    The Prince of Egypt

To me, this movie is one of the best animated films you would find out there. The story is hard hitting and not afraid to deal with very dark themes, the style is gorgeous with a very nice blend of 2D and 3D animation, and the music is fantastic, with every song being better than the next.

    Is it worth watching?
Absolutely, I would recommend this to people of all ages as it is well worth the viewing. I guarantee you'll be singing the songs in your head when you come out of it.

Got to watch this as a kid a long time ago, and in cinema with the newly animated deleted scene. This movie is a near masterpiece with fantastic animation, voice acting, sound design, and of course, story. The pacing is excellent and the ratio of humour to drama is perfect.

    Is it worth watching?
Speaking for both 8 year old me and 23 year old me, this movie is well worth the watch for both kids and adults. Do not miss out on this film.

  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

This film is a true epic masterpiece. The story, cinematography, score, it all blends in to make an iconic experience. There are a few scenes that show its age (eg. the italian dubbing), but it's nothing that takes away from the whole thing.

    Is it worth watching?
Absolutely. With friends, with family, with no one but yourself. A must watch.
