Lenon Mello’s review published on Letterboxd:
I have to be honest, I am not a big fan of musicals. That is a genre that is very hit or miss for me, and usually is a miss. I don’t like movies like Moulin Rouge or Across the Universe, but I love Singing in the Rain and Anna and the Apocalypse. All of that just to say that this movie is a miss to me. I really didn’t care about the songs and worst, I didn’t care about the characters. In the 'fight' scenes they were only dancing and not fighting at all. The plot is pretty flat, I need some kind of edge in this types of movies, but, to me, was just another Romeo and Juliet story.
The only thing that I really enjoy was Natalie Wood, she’s the best singer and actress in the film and she’s gorgeous also.
