Léo Louvel 🎬🥀’s review published on Letterboxd:
A massacre of 17 million deaths.
Terrible Masterpiece by Netflix, who would have deserved to be seen in cinema.
Being French and feeling empathy for Germans feels good. The dehumanisation of war.
Exceptional actors, music that makes you shiver, beautiful shots, great staging and scenes of terrifying realism.
Paul is an incredible character, indoctrinated with his friends and who sees his personality changing in the thread of the film, his interpretation is exceptional, the scene with the French soldier "camarade" moved me so much... Every emotion is perfectly interpreted, the end... his closed eyes define our feeling after seeing all this violence, just close his eyes...
Their opponents are in fact their mirrors.
